Gulf Power Company was an electric utility based in Pensacola, Florida, serving approximately 465,000 customers across 10 counties and 71 towns in northwest Florida. Founded in 1925, the company operated an extensive infrastructure that included 1,600 miles of transmission lines and over 7,600 miles of distribution lines. Its generating capacity was around 2.278 gigawatts, providing electricity to residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

The company offered a range of electric utility services, including electricity generation, high-voltage transmission, and distribution to various customer segments. Gulf Power also supplied wholesale electricity to other utilities and municipalities. In 2019, Gulf Power was acquired by NextEra Energy and was merged into Florida Power & Light in 2021, with operations integrated under FPL�s Northwest Florida division. The company was known for its commitment to reliability, safety, and customer service throughout its history.
