King AbdulAziz University

King Abdulaziz University (KAU) is a leading public university located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Established in 1967, it became a public institution in 1971 to enhance higher education in the region. Named after the founder of modern Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz, the university has grown significantly since its inception, now ranking first among Arab universities and 101st globally according to the 2023 QS and Times Higher Education rankings.

KAU comprises 29 faculties, including specialized areas such as Marine Sciences, Nuclear Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering, along with three institutes and 49 research centers. The university also operates two hospitals, University Hospital and University Dental Hospital. With an enrollment of approximately 136,560 students and a faculty of over 6,300, KAU provides a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, research opportunities, and healthcare services, contributing to the academic and community landscape of the western region of Saudi Arabia.
