Lagos State Government

The Lagos State Government is the governing authority of Lagos State, Nigeria, overseeing its administration and development. Headed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the government operates through executive, legislative, and judiciary branches. Its vision is to transform Lagos into "Africa's Model Mega City and Global Economic and Financial Hub," focusing on poverty eradication and sustainable economic growth through infrastructure development.

Established in 1967, Lagos State is the smallest by landmass but the most populous state in Nigeria. The government manages various ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, which employs modern budgeting tools for efficient resource management. Key policies include the Lagos State Development Plan and the Lagos Resilience Strategy, aimed at promoting economic growth and environmental sustainability.

The Lagos State Government provides a wide range of public services, including infrastructure development, economic planning, public health, education, and security. It serves over 20 million residents, local and international businesses, and various stakeholders involved in urban development and climate resilience.
